It is self-described as "Not Quite Pale Ale", that description is apt. I didn't know what to think of this beer when I first tasted it, it was ok, nothing special. The second helping of this brew was significantly better (but I usually find this to be so with most pale ales). As a final conclusion, with its complex flavor and general tastiness, I would have to say I liked this beer.

Number 9, number 9...
Also delicious on tap.
Hmm. I liked it, but it was very fruity... almost too fruity. Of course, maybe that's why you like it--? ;)
The flavor you are wondering about is apricot paste. Its the best kept secret in the beer biz, but this beer should be exposed for what it is...a fruit beer, and apricot at that! Pyramid, did it first and better...peace
